Her 'Do These Days

I tried a new hairdo on Anna the other day and I really like it, I think because having her hair back really shows off her little face. It's 8 cornrows from the bottom up to a puff. This versatility is why I'm learning to 'row! Just wish it didn't take me so long.

From a distance my cornrows now look almost respectable--to white people, anyway. (Ha!)

I think it looks good. I am anxious to learn how to row Zoë's hair but am scared to try. Zoë's still young--18 months but I know one of these days I'll have to do it. Now I know someone I can ask.

Good job, momma.

You can row from the bottom up?? You're my hero! And you're right, that hairstyle does look really good on her!

I love it!! Not sure I'm ready to try bottom-up cornrows, as I've only just begun, but these cute pics are inspiring!

I'm am incredbily impressed with the bottom-up rows. How does she do while you're busy braiding? And how long did that take you?

oh wow - this is my favorite hairstyle so far. Love love lovety love it. Elsa still doesn't have enough hair to cornrow. Sigh.

Gretchen, this took 1/2 of Pooh plus Elmo. That is to say, well over an hour. When I get better it will stay longer so it feels more worth it.

Meanwhile I blame hair for my child's thoroughly developed addiction to them there moving pictures she likes to watch.
